Those colours together, are the perfect combination smile
Chantal Huijbregts: It attracted me while I was sitting there
A nice subject here chantal.
Chantal Huijbregts: yes, not many people would see it though
Great composition!!!
Chantal Huijbregts: thanks a lot Liz
Doors and old walls make pretty irresistable subjects for me. This is a good one.
Chantal Huijbregts: they are always an attraction to me
There is a song, which I can't remember now, about "The Green Door" and the mysteries behind it. Lovely shot.
Chantal Huijbregts: I don't know that song Sheila
Rural arquitecture has had its different periods of achievement. This image is great Chantal, in the Dada period. It looks like the door cannot be opened due to the bench and the "window" is very conveniently placed (you can change the bulb from the interior, receive light at night, get some water when it rains or even ventilation in summer hot days). Not even Frank Gehry would come up with such an array of structural solutions. smile
Chantal Huijbregts: Thanks a lot Juan
Oh... I like this.

In North West England, stones are traditionally used to make walls and buildings.

How about NE? Which part of NE?
Chantal Huijbregts: What do you mean with your question London Caller
I love pictures of doorways
Chantal Huijbregts: Me too, did some in my days
Looks as though it could be a bit drafty!
Chantal Huijbregts: yes, not isolated indeed
I think they could use a better window. Nice shot, Chantal.
Chantal Huijbregts: thanks Mary
Is Shakin' Stevens going to leap out from behind I wonder!? smile
Chantal Huijbregts: Will he, who will tell?

I love the way the light is on and as it gets dark the locals will sit on the bench and chat about their day, I doubt if they will use that door though smile
Chantal Huijbregts: yes, that is nice to end the day
New old stone work, always photogenic smile
Chantal Huijbregts: it is always attractive to capture John
Great photo, Chantal!
I really like the contrast between the vivid green door and the stonework.
Chantal Huijbregts: Thanks a lot Jimi

Really good one. Love the green door.
Chantal Huijbregts: Thanks a lot Frida, glad you like the outcome too
You almost get the feeling the door was put up and the wall was built round it.
Chantal Huijbregts: yes, the other way round than normal, well, who will tell?
